Tristan Brittain-Dissont joined Teknoinvest Angelico Ventures in 2010. Prior to Teknoinvest Angelico Ventures Tristan was a Partner of Angelico Ventures life sciences boutique investment bank. Tristan has over 15 years experience in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry. For the first six years of his career, he held a variety sales and marketing roles at Merck, Sharp and Dohme and Rhone-Poulenc Rorer, launching a number of new products during this period, particularly in the field of neurology. Subsequent to this, he was part of the set-up team for Biogen Inc's first commercial operations in the UK, and was instrumental in the launch of Avonex for the treatment of multiple sclerosis. Having spent time in both blue chip and biotechnology pharmaceutical companies, Tristan then moved into the field of outsourced clinical research solutions. He developed international business development teams for Covance, one of the world's largest contract research companies. As a result of this, he was headhunted by GSK and spent four years commercializing and building Intercern. Initially a UK organization, Intercern grew to be Europe's largest patient recruitment company, backed by 3i, Europe's leading venture capital firm. In this capacity, Tristan sat on the main Board of the company as Commercial Director. From 2003 to 2008 Mr. Brittain-Dissont managed a USD$30M investment fund SpringHill Bioventures venture capital fund, specializing in drug development and medtech in the US, Europe, India and South East Asia.During this time, he held the post of CEO at Alpha Biologics (contract biologics manufacturing) and PsiMei Pharmaceutical Plc (oncology drug development).
